Q: What is Convo Now?
A: Convo Now is an on-demand interpreting app for in-person conversations. It’s built for Deaf and hard-of-hearing users who want quick, seamless access to interpreters — anywhere, anytime.

Q: How do I sign up for Convo Now?

A: For the Deaf/HH community, go here to sign up. If you are not deaf or you're a business owner who wants to learn more, start here.

Q: Do I need a Convo VRS account to use Convo Now?
A: Not at all. You don’t need a Convo VRS number to start with Convo Now — just sign up here.

Q: Is Convo Now free to use?
A: Yes. You get 20 complimentary minutes every month. No charge to you. If you need more minutes, our team can work with you on next steps.

Q: When will my complimentary 20 monthly minutes reload?
A: Your minutes reload automatically every month on your original activation date.


App & Access

Q: Is Convo Now part of the Convo app?
A: Convo Now is a new, separate app. You’ll need to download it from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or access it via web.

Q: Where can I download the Convo Now app?
A: You’ll find it on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Web. But heads up — you can’t sign up directly in the app. Start here to create your account.

Q: I downloaded the app, but I can’t log in.

A: It could be several things. You may be trying to log in with your Convo VRS information. Convo Now and Convo VRS are two separate apps with different login information.

Q: Why am I stuck in Confirmation and Password Reset?

A: Your account may already be activated. Follow the steps in this support guide to move forward.

Q: Where can Convo Now be used?

A: Anywhere with a solid Wi-Fi or cellular connection. That includes:

  • Family meals

  • Workplaces

  • Vet appointments

  • Banks & Credit Unions

  • Auto mechanic shops

Q: Can I use Convo Now anywhere in the world?
A: Yes! As long as you’ve got a strong connection, Convo Now works worldwide on your phone or laptop.

Q: What are Convo Now's service hours?
A: 24/7 — always on.


Using Convo Now

Q: What's the difference between Convo Now and Convo VRS?

A: Convo Now is for in-person conversations. Convo VRS is for phone calls. Both use different apps.

Q: Can I use Convo Now on Zoom or any other video conferencing platform?

A: Yes! Here's how.

Q: Will my conversation be cut off if I exceed 20 minutes?
A: No, the conversation won’t be interrupted. But you won’t be able to start another one until your minutes reload or you connect with our team.

Q: Who pays for this? Is it really free?
A: Yes, your first 20 minutes are complimentary. We believe the cost of access shouldn’t fall on the Deaf/HH community. We’re here to make every step easier.


New Feature: Connect Audio


Q: Will Convo charge to use this feature?

A: Nope. Connect Audio is included in your Convo Now plan.

Q: Will the hearing person have to sign up or download anything?

A: No. They just scan the QR code on your screen and give permission to use their phone’s mic and speaker. That’s it.

Q: Will this solve all audio issues?

A: It won’t solve everything — but it helps a lot with:

  • Noisy spaces

  • Weak phone speakers

  • Covered speakers

  • Bluetooth or audio routing issues

  • Setting the phone on a surface in a way that covers the phone’s speakers

Q: Will Connect Audio be available to use before I get an interpreter?

A: No — it only starts once the interpreter joins the session.
