Do you want to be muted but still have VCO enabled on Convo Link so you can hear the other party speaking while using Google Live Caption? No prob! Here's how you can mute your microphone on your Mac or PC.
For macOS
1. On your Mac, click on the Apple icon in the menu bar, and then click on "System Preferences".
2. Click on "Sound".
3. Click on the "Input" tab then drag the "Input volume" slider all the way to the left to mute the microphone.
The microphone should not pick up any audio after this.
For Windows
1. Click on Start > Settings > System > Sound.
2. Right-click on the Speaker icon in the System tray. Choose Open Sound settings.
3. Drag the "Volume" slider all the way to the left to mute the microphone.
The microphone should not pick up any audio after this.
NOTE: These workarounds can introduce problems when customers want to use FaceTime or other apps using audio. The user will need to modify the sound options/preferences when using audio on other apps.
