What is the Deaf Ecosystem Directory and how can it benefit my workplace (business, organization, school, and/or service)?

The Deaf Ecosystem Directory is a central resource of Deaf-owned businesses, organizations, schools, and/or services, both locally and nationwide. Think of it as the Yellow Pages for our community. The directory is accessible to anyone with a Convo account, giving your workplace exposure to thousands of people within the Deaf community. 

This Deaf Ecosystem Directory isn't the first listing of resources for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, but it's the most comprehensive and it's continually updated by us. Currently, there are over 800 businesses, organizations, schools, and professionals in the Ecosystem Directory. 

Where can people access the Deaf Ecosystem Directory?

Our directory can be found in apps (available on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows). Go to Contacts to locate the directory. 

We also have a map that shows where all the Deaf-owned businesses are located using blue pins. This feature can be found under Maps in our iOS and Android apps.

Okay, I'm convinced. How do I add my business to the Ecosystem?

You will need to fill out the Ecosystem Directory form. Click below to get listed!

Can I add my MLM business to the Ecosystem?

No. This directory is for those who own their business outright. MLMs are part of the larger company, which does not meet our business criteria.

Who do I contact to edit/remove my business information? 

Contact us at sales@convorelay.com to edit/remove your business information.

How long does it take to have my business appear, changed, or removed from the directory? 

Within 5 business days.

I was notified that my business is now in the directory, but I don’t see anything in the directory yet.

Currently, I don't have a website. Can I add my website later?

Yes, you can add the website later. We strongly encourage you to develop a website for your business, because that is where customers go to learn more about your business. Send us an email to success@convorelay.com to update your information when you are ready!

I live in another country. Can I add my business to the Ecosystem Directory?

Yes, if you have a Convo number. 

Note: Individuals who live out of the U.S. would get a proxy Convo number that will work for point-to-point calls with other Convo users. FCC doesn’t allow a real, ten-digit number to be provided to people outside of the U.S.

Can non-Convo customers call my Convo phone number?

Yes, Convo is interoperable with all VRS providers. Your business will be able to receive calls from any videophone or VRS provider. 

I have two business numbers. Can I put both in the directory? 

At this time, each business is only limited to one contact number. Select the number you want to use to receive calls.
